The Reading Intervention Starts Early (RISE) program trains tutors to help K–2 students build strong reading skills. Tutors learn to teach reading, writing, and spelling through fun, hands-on activities and step-by-step lessons that help children grow into confident, successful readers.

Building Confident Readers, a workshop presented by the Dyslexia Resource Center, at Richland Library, offers practical suggestions and connects participants with resources available . Plus, participants leave with materials to use at home!

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are eager to help the children in their lives learn to read but are often unsure how to do so.
